An Awesome Autumn Adventure
Our very first Autumn Adventure, which took place in Downtown Apex last November, was quite the success! Registrants headed downtown in their small, socially distanced groups, to solve a dozen clues posted at various participating storefronts throughout Salem Street. The event was a collaborative effort with Heather and Rafael Chandler of Whole Brain Escape, a locally owned and award winning escape room, and the Apex Downtown Business Association (ADBA). Close to 50 teams took part and submitted their best guesses. (Answers are posted here if you missed them.)
Some of our favorite team names included The Peak of Good Riddling, Peak Pirates, and The Apex Predators. Random winners were Johnson Fam, Heron’s Ham, and ABC Super Sleuths, who all received wonderful gift baskets full of donated items from the following local vendors: Grow Preschool, FRESH Local Ice Cream, Cocoon Gallery, 621 Productions, The Rusty Bucket, Promotional Partners, The Apex Gallery and Custom Framing, Peak City Family Dentistry, Rose & Lee, Werking Design & Decor, Peak of the Vine, Scratch Kitchen & Taproom. We thank these wonderful businesses for their support of our event!
Participants were thrilled with the activity and we’re already discussing a second adventure sometime in 2021, so keep a look out in our newsletter and on social media for more information.

To learn what I am,
You must study this rhyme.
To start with, I am found
At the ending of time,
The first part of adventure,
The beginning of Rome,
The last of the first,
And the starting of home.
