School Staff Recognition
We love to highlight the amazing efforts that educators and school staff members make on a daily basis. Two programs we’ve developed to do so are our social media Shoutouts and the Peak S.T.A.R. Award in partnership with the Town of Apex.
Shoutouts
The Shoutout program honors educators, school personnel and administrators for the work they are doing to support Apex-area students. Each week, the APSF highlights those individuals on social media, sharing comments from principals and administrators and dropping off a token of appreciation for them at their school. It is a small way that we feel we can brighten a staff member or an educator’s day. Thank you to FRESH Local Ice Cream and Kwench Juice Apex for celebrating APSF Shoutout honorees!

Peak S.T.A.R. Award
In partnership with the Town of Apex, the APSF recognizes extraordinary employees from Apex-area WCPSS schools with the Peak S.T.A.R. Award. Each calendar quarter, the APSF Board of Directors selects an individual from all those honored with an APSF Shoutout. These individuals are recognized for doing extraordinary work to support students at their schools. The recipients are gifted a plaque to commemorate their award and honored at a Town Council meeting.
